Did you know that Wellfleet residents can pick up 'Dump Dirt' compost (made of material from the leaf pile) for free! Also available, horse manure, wood ash, and wood chips. All you need is a Wellfleet Transfer Station and Recycling Center dump sticker.

Some household products are too toxic to trash: pesticides and lawn chemicals, cleaners and disinfectants, arts & crafts/hobby supplies, auto and boat fluids, pool chemicals, paints, polishes, and stains. Gather these up to drop-off at the Household Hazardous Waste Day at the Wellfleet Transfer Station/Recycling Center
JUNE 3, 2023 from 9AM to 12 Noon.

boat shrink wrap recycling
Now through JUNE 30, 2023 in the towns of Bourne, Chatham, Dennis, Eastham, Falmouth, and Wellfleet.

Recyclers, please make sure shrink wrap is clean and dry. Remove all ropes, vents, zippers, plastic strapping, etc. Bundle the shrink wrap like a sleeping bag and tie it with a strip of shrink wrap.

paint recycling
Between April and October, you can recycle paint at the Wellfleet Transfer Station / Recycling Center. If your latex paint is less than 10 years-old, free of debris, and has never been frozen, it will be filtered, re-pigmented, and recycled into new paint by ReColor Paints of Hanover, Mass. Oil-based paint and stain are also accepted. No Spray Cans.

The Wellfleet Transfer Station / Recycling Center UNIVERSAL WASTE SHED accepts rechargeable batteries, button batteries, fluorescent lamps, mercury-containing products including thermostats and thermometers. Antifreeze and motor oil. Fire extinguishers ($6 fee). 

Please hold any chemicals, cleaners, solvents for the annual Household Hazardous Waste collection days.
